Submissions are now open for the Meridian Hackathon!

Dear talented builder,

Submissions are now open for the Meridian Hackathon! Make sure to turn in your entry before November 8th 2020 at 11:45 PM PT on meridianhackathon.devpost.com

The Challenge

Four new features were added to the Stellar protocol in 2020, and your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to build a project on the testnet that incorporates at least one of them.  They are:

As long as you implement at least one of those features, you can build anything you'd like, so get creative!  These features are new to everyone — several aren't even available on the public network yet — and we're interested in seeing intuitive and user-friendly products that explore the possibilities they open up.

To find out more, check the Resources page on Devpost, which points to high-level explainers and nuts-and-bolts documentation of the new features, and offers tips and links to help you get started if you're new to Stellar.

You may also want to join the Meridian hackathon channel on Stellar Global Discord, where you can find help, ask questions, and interact with other participants.

The prize pool is $12,000 worth of XLM, but contestants will also compete for bragging rights and glory: the top 5 projects will be featured on the event website, get feedback from some of the top brass at SDF, and be evaluated and voted on by the wide world of Meridian attendees. Build something cool, try something new, get rewarded, and get your name out there! And remember to have fun!

We'll see you at Meridian.
